Reta  Davis (Bennewies)

Reta Davis, 91, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

Beloved wife of the late David Davis (2011). Dear mother of Joan Tam (Dick), Marilyn Lowe (Nick) and Kenneth Davis (Thip). Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Wilbert Davis (Phyllis). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents George and Magdalena Bennewies, son-in-law Bob Tam, brother Bill Bennewies (Elsie), sisters Hilda Vock (Bill), Edna Lloyd (Jim), Anna Sherrin (George) and Laura Rock (George).

Reta farmed with her husband Dave on the Davis homestead in Fullarton Township for 30 years before retiring to Mitchell in 1977. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing and spending time with family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Dunbar officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Fullarton Cemetery. Memorial donations to Fullarton Cemetery or Main St. United United Church Building Fund may be made at
